There have bean reports of slow Windows 8 adoption from various sources. But, Microsoft seems to have a different story to tell. Last week they announced that they have sold more than 40 million licenses of Windows 8 in the first month of it’s general availability.
Tami Reller shared this news with industry and financial analysts, investors and media at the Credit Suisse 2012 Annual Technology Conference.
From Tami’s presentation:
“The journey is just beginning, but I am pleased to announce today that we have sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses so far.”
The blog also announces that “A number of apps in the Windows Store have crossed the $25,000 revenue mark”. 80% of the revenue made off app downloads will be kept by the developer.
